Community Guidelines – Engagement Safe

Welcome to Decad Garden — a community imagined for thoughtful conversation, creative expression, and the quiet joy of sharing meaningful ideas about home, garden, and inspired living. Whether you’re designing the perfect nook, tuning up your landscape, or navigating the winding path of interior beauty, this is a place where insight, creativity, and mutual respect flourish side by side.

Founded by Vorian Rendall in the heart of Lexington, Kentucky, Decad Garden grew out of a desire to reflect the delicate equilibrium between form and feeling. Here, our focus stretches beyond aesthetics into the rituals, rhythms, and care that make home life whole. These guidelines are a softly drawn path — not to contain, but to guide — ensuring our community remains a safe and engaging space to imagine, question, and grow together.

Our Purpose

In a world of noise, we offer intention. The goal of our community is to create a space where ideas about home living concepts, interior design inspirations, and decadent garden landscaping are exchanged with sincerity and respect. This is not a platform for perfection — it is a table set for conversation, insight, and small discoveries that can gently shift the way we live and think.

Our guidelines protect the emotional and imaginative space we’ve cultivated here. They are meant to empower thoughtful participation, shield vulnerability, and remind us all that the best communities are not built in haste — but with care, intention, and shared commitment.

Our Shared Values

Decad Garden is grounded in the belief that the quality of our engagement defines what we build together. These values guide us:

  • Reflection: Thoughtful pauses and considered words. We value responses that reveal listening, even more than volume.
  • Respect: For people, ideas, and creative differences. We welcome diverse perspectives without expectation of agreement — only understanding.
  • Kindness: The quiet kind that makes room for everyone — the beginner, the expert, and those still finding their voice.
  • Originality: We encourage you to speak from your own experience and to always acknowledge the contributions of others.
  • Depth: We believe that insights deserve space and that meaning often lives just beneath the surface. We aim for content that connects as much as it informs.

These principles aren’t boundaries to close you in — they’re an invitation to slow down and connect with intention.

How We Engage

Decad Garden is a place to explore not only the practical but also the poetic. When you share here — whether a design revelation or a maintenance tip passed down generations — we encourage thoughtfulness in voice, format, and tone.

Members of this community engage by:

  • Asking questions rooted in curiosity, not assumption.
  • Balancing practical feedback with empathy and encouragement.
  • Crediting the artists, authors, and thinkers who have shaped their contributions.
  • Choosing dialogue over debate. It’s less about being right than being seen and heard.
  • Being open to having your ideas refined — gently and collaboratively — by others’ experiences.

Whether your post explores a topic from our Highlight Hub or reflects on your experience using a planning tool, your contribution is part of a greater collective effort to deepen understanding across this space.

Respectful Participation

Grace in discussion is a rare thing — and here, we strive to preserve it. We hold space for humor, disagreement, even strong opinions, as long as they are shared respectfully. But we draw clear lines where harm begins.

Not acceptable within our community:

  • Language that threatens, shames, or belittles — regardless of whom it’s directed at.
  • Discriminatory content targeting gender, race, religion, ability, or identity.
  • Solicitations, spam, or promotional content presented without invitation or context.
  • Content that misleads or intentionally distorts information — especially in a way that could harm others’ projects, purchases, or well-being.

Posts or comments falling into these categories may be removed in service of the broader community. Every gentleness we give one another is a form of power — not the kind that dominates, but the kind that nurtures.

Moderation and Protection

Moderation at Decad Garden works like a gardener’s quiet hand — occasionally pruning to protect the whole. Our small team steps in as needed to uphold the intent and values of our community. This is not censorship, but stewardship. An effort to ensure that voices that promote fear, hate, or harm do not overshadow those that create light and possibility.

If you believe a contribution violates these guidelines, we encourage you to share your concern privately through our contact page at Reach Out or by emailing [email protected]. All reports are handled with confidentiality and care.

Content Sharing and Attribution

Ideas, images, and inspirations shared within this community bloom through careful attribution. If you post or cite something from another voice, include a clear mention of their name and — when applicable — link to their site or page.

If you plan to reuse or remix content from Decad Garden, please do so thoughtfully. Each article, from interior reflections to landscape philosophies, is someone’s time, research, and vision. A link back or a note of homage keeps the flow of creativity honest and collaborative.

We also welcome more active contributions. If you’d like to submit your insights, consider exploring our brand collaboration page or visit the Team Creative section to learn about opportunities to co-create.

Privacy and Boundaries

Here, just like in a well-cared-for garden, personal space matters. Please refrain from sharing private contact information — yours or others’ — in public comments or submissions. And always ask before posting content that features people who haven’t given explicit permission.

To understand how your data is used, and how your information is protected, please read through our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Terms and Conditions. These aren’t long-winded legalities — they’re part of our mutual promise to keep this space honest and secure.

Spaces of Collaboration

If you’re a creator, maker, or visionary with ideas aligned to our mission, we invite you to contribute formally. Through Your Career Journey Starts Here, you’ll find space to grow your reach, develop projects with meaning, and be part of something that celebrates intention at every level.

You can also discover ongoing innovations — including our NFT Integration Tool and Innovation Hub — where we explore the intersection between craftsmanship and technology. Collaboration doesn’t stop at aesthetics — it moves into tools, methods, and futures.

From Our Founder

Vorian Rendall founded Decad Garden with the hope of building a space where beauty and thought could co-exist — not just in design, but in dialogue. His philosophy invites us to speak carefully, to design with empathy, and to accept that good living isn’t a look — it’s a layered, intentional experience. Our Place in the World

We create from Lexington, Kentucky — from a small studio surrounded by oaks, sun-worn bricks, and a quiet reverence for craft. From this foundation, we publish and connect with voices far beyond our ZIP code, mindful that place shapes meaning, and meaning shapes connection.

We’re located at 2551 Carson Street, Lexington, Kentucky 40503, United States and are available for thoughtful conversations or quiet questions during the week.

Open Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM
